XTL Transport Inc. is looking for a Customer Logistic Planner at our Etobicoke-Terminal location to become part of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is self-motivated, has strong analytical and computer skills, strong attention to detail and is enthusiastic to work in a customer-centric environment. This position coordinates all processes and functions of load planning and freight movement for LTL/TL/Intermodal.
Responsible for complete order management from initial booking, throughout transit, and until freight has successfully delivered.
Interacts and communicates with internal and external carriers on front-line issues to ensure the best possible customer service is provided timely.
Provide feedback on Sales and CS on areas of opportunity or concern
Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily.
Resolves customer complaints by investigation problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management.
Prospect and cultivate new carrier leads to establish transportation capacity.
Grow and develop our carrier base with partners that meet or exceed our criteria and compliance standards.
Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication.
Monitor, measure and provide feedback on carrier overall performance.
Effectively negotiate with logistics service carries on a transactional basis by following the Carrier Rate Matrix previous order guidelines.

Ensure data integrity while complying, tracking, managing and completing the orders.
Ensure quality of all services and verifying accuracy of data prior to completing the orders.

Qualification / Skills:
Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and effectively prioritize multiple priorities is critical to success
Bilingual – French/English preferred
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Previous experience in transportation or related fields beneficial
A good knowledge of North American geography beneficial
Strong sense of time organization and urgency
Post-Secondary degree preferred, Logistics/Transportation or a related discipline ideal
Strong computer skills (MS office)
Ability to work well under pressure and provide follow-up with strong attention to details.
Ability to work in a team atmosphere with minimal supervision
